Joan Kenley and Talking Matters bring you subjects to touch your body, mind, heart, and soul. This program about "Addiction, Co-Dependence, and Recovery" addresses issues that touch almost everyone's lives in some way. We'll identify what's true for many kinds of addictions and ask: Are you caught up in the web of co-dependency and don't know it? We'll talk about how dealing with anger, sorrow, comfort, and homework contribute to recovery.
Our conversations with Kay and Joyce will cover:
* how to deal with shame, guilt and insecurities.
* the need to set psychological and behavioral boundaries.
* the methamphetamine crisis.
* how to see the difference between rescuing and enabling.
* whether believing in God, a higher power, or a higher self, affects recovery.
